Wedding photography at a Kingscote Barn Spring Wedding…

This was one of my first weddings for 2017. After a few weeks off I was sure excited to get this year going. I’ve missed my couples! (and being fed like royalty 😉 Thank you Lee and Strawberry Field! It’s lush to be back)

I knew these two were special already. Anyone who’s hands on in the NHS, in my books, is friggin’ up there. John’s a Surgeon and Rebecca, a Junior Doctor. I feel humbled to have even been asked to be their photographer (ha, and incredibly aware (and slightly nervous) of the level of intelligence attending – I’m only going to use my big, clever words today..!).

The girls were getting ready at one of Kingscote’s barns, Tuppence, just down the road. Well I say they were getting ready…they were pretty much done when I got there! I walked in and time briefly stopped whilst my brain booted up and wondered if I’d lost a couple of hours en route! Thankfully not! Rebecca, used to doing a million things at once, had organisation that was militaryesque and it all under control. I’m used to walking into a barrage of hairdryers and make up but this was serene!

Rebecca’s dress, from The Mews Bridal in Notting Hill and designed by Rime Arodaky, was a two piece and utterly incredible. The French lace was so delicate and she looked jaw dropping. In fact at one point I had to stop myself staring at how perfect it was! (Loved the 80’s midriff too). Following several blogs, I’ve seen The Mews Bridal come up a few times and their dresses are just beautiful and so unique. If you’re a bride reading this, still on the search, look them up. Their instagram is pretty cool too, so always worth follow for inspiration.

Flowers by Becci from Bijoux, were fab! and loved how she decorated the couple’s Milk churns (no euphemism). The boys button holes were simple and berry like (I’ve no idea what they are !?) and were perfect against their blue suits.

Thank you so much to John, Rebecca and family for having me as part of your day. You and your friends certainly know how to party hard and it was an absolute privilege to be there with you.
