Being able to shoot a few weddings in Tuscany in my 2019 season, was an absolute treat. Montelucci Country Resort is in the Arezzo region, so just in a triangle between Arezzo, Siena and Florence. I mean, what a blinking’ location! Obviously destination weddings have taken a hit with Covid but I can’t wait to start shooting them again soon. To be able to have that time with your absolute best people in the world and treat them to an amazing pocket of culture and beauty, they’re just memories that will last you all forever.

Jemma & Chris spoke to me about a year before hand and it was so exciting talking about their plans, it was awesome to be asked to capture their day for them. They’d both been to Italy but not to Tuscany before & just fell in the venue. The wedding was spread over 4 days, with everybody staying at Montelucci Country Resort and with the wedding being on the 3rd day. It was lovely to see that everybody was so relaxed having had those couple of days prior to catch up with each other and put their feet up a bit before the main event!

Its good to get to a wedding in Italy at least a day before the big day, just so you can get your bearings etc and scout out that gorgeous Tuscan sun and where it goes! For J&C, if possible, they really wanted to capture some epic sunset shots but I soon found out, that in June, the Sun hides round the hill before it sets, so we couldn’t get out on the terrace but we got some amazing shots a quick car ride away (ha, and you’ve got to be quick! that Sun isn’t hanging about when its about to set!).

The styling was kept nice and simple, just using greenery and freshly chopped olive twigs in the morning. When you’ve got that view, setting, bridal party and some flaming Aperol Spritz’, you really dont need anything else. Thank you for stopping by and reading the blog.
