Mid Year Round Up, 2018!
My first part of 2018 as a Cotswold Wedding Photographer
So, it’s we’re half way through August!? Hmmmm, like how did that happen…!?!!!
During the crazy period, blogging is so far down on my list of priorities ( not that it ever peaks that high in non crazy periods!) but I’m sitting on thousands of incredible moments that I’m dying to share! Not having actually blogged for ages, I couldn’t pick just one wedding to concentrate on, so for fear of anyone thinking I’ve gone out of business as it’s all gone quiet, I’ve just gone through a bunch and grabbed a load from the first 5/6 months of this year.
I’ve shot roughly about 42000 images…(and I dont just randomly click or keep my finger pressed down, I mean I’m not a Sony user (har de har, industry jibe)) so that’s 42000 times I’ve seen something I want to capture for my couples. Can you imagine what privilege it’s been to witness the moments that made this up! It overwhelms me so much that as I sit here at my desk which I admittedly feel glued to in the summer, I could literally sob over my Wacom at what an incredible honour it is to be part of these couples important day. And it’s not just about the functionality of the actual wedding, it’s everything thats unspoken. The love. Oh my goodness the love. From the parents, from the closest friends, from the loved ones who can’t be there. The incredible happiness, the heart breaking sadness of missing people, the giddiness, the fun, the excitement, the nerves…it’s just LUSH!
I’ve shot at some awesome venues (Elmore Court, Stone Barn, Larmer Tree Gardens, Kingscote Barn, Merriscourt Barn, Brockfield Barn, Great Tythe Barn, Priors Tithe Barn, ) and worked with some incredible suppliers (will namecheck with details when I do the individual blogs.)
I have had THE best fun so far and I can’t thank my couples enough for putting on such incredible days and looking after me so well. I really do miss you all.
Here’s just a teeny tiny of what it’s been looking like. There’s loads more to come!
